Private Tutoring
In my most recent role, I was a self-employed tutor, teaching online private clients through platforms like Classgap and Tutorful, as well as independently. I delivered over 1,000 hours of instruction across a range of subjects, including:
- GCSE: Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
- A-level: Biology and Chemistry
- Undergraduate and Postgraduate: Biochemistry
I employed an interactive, student-centric teaching approach, tailoring lessons to each student’s unique needs and learning style to ensure their academic success.

The Brilliant Club
The Brilliant Tutoring Programme: Provides small group tuition to support pupils who have fallen behind, particularly as a result of disruptions like the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Brilliant Club is a UK-based education charity that works to increase access to higher education for underrepresented students. It partners with schools and universities to help students from disadvantaged backgrounds develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence needed to progress to highly selective universities.

Undergraduate Research project supervisor
During my time as a Master’s and a Ph.D researcher, I taught online and in person undergraduate lessons and teaching laboratories. This includes long-term projects in the field of Structural Microbiology and Biochemistry. Thesis/report writing. data-analysis and applied mathematics is also part of standard scientific laboratory practice.

Scout Leader
For 12 years, I was part of the volunteer scout movement, 6 years as a scout, 2 years as a young leader and then 4 years as a full scout leader. The experience included a range of skill development and activities including but not limited to; survival skills, camping, learning about safety and the environment, games, teamwork and diversity.
